set up took about one hour, I had to set up the wall mount. over all easy set up, I'm using the Klipsch Synergy Quintet III with a Sony receiver 820. really clear sound I tested about 3 BD with these speakers and WOW i was amazed and blown away by these small speakers. I'm very happy with These Klipsch Synergy Quintet III speakers, don't forget to caliber your receiver.
These speakers are great. Now I can hear people really well in movies and video games sound great. Must have.
These speakers do an excellent job of separating the lows, mids and highs *and* bringing a true 5.1 experience. 5/5 for TV watching.2) Movie watching - 4.5/5, Impressive, good effects, dialogues clear. I bought these from BestBuy for about $480 a few months ago (now on sale at Amazon for $300 (bummer)., I still believe they were worth $500. The rears (BTW, all 4 speakers are same) do a beautiful job of enhancing the surround sound effect. I spent hours (spread over days) to get the right levels, distance, alignment. The center speaker does a justified job of bringing clarity to the dialog. On average, my receiver is now set to 15dB lower volume than my prior speakers.
Everyone who listened to them were completely wowed.3) Music listening - 4 on 5, clear sound, nice beats reproduction, 2.1 sound is good too. 1) TV Watching - This is what was very important for us - we watch HD TV only, no SD TV, and had to turn the volume pretty high to figure out the dialogues that tend to get muffled in the 5.1 effects. I could use a little more oomph for surround, but that's just me. The fronts are small, but with a good subwoofer you should be all set. We never realized some of the prime time TV shows have a lot of surround effects until we started using these speakers. You will need to spend quality time playing with your amp to get the settings right. My Setup - 15X17 room- 51" Widescreen TV- Sony DG 1000 receiver - Crossover set at 130 (could go bit lower ~120)- Sony SA-W2500 active subwoofer, running at ~80% power (gives ample base, gels well with these speakers)
They put out a great full sound. I have these hooked up to my 46" Samsung with a Polk Bass and a Yamaha receiver. These speakers are nice looking and not obnoxious. Amazon had them at such a great price, I couldn't beleive it. I was afraid I would be told they were out of stock, but Amazon came through.
Bought these to upgrade from JBL Satellites and what a difference. The Quintet III's are great for hometheater and music. Have these paired with the BIC H100 sub and my house rocks. For the price of 298.88 this is a great buy.
